Refund, Cancellation & Rescheduling Policy

1. Overview & Purpose

At Neuron Layer Hub Pty Ltd, our workshops are strictly capped at small cohort sizes (4 to 8 participants) to provide dedicated bench equipment, test fixtures, and individualized instructor guidance. Because bench positions and workshop consumables are reserved in advance, this policy outlines the terms under which course enrollments, on-site audits, and consulting deposits may be refunded, rescheduled, or cancelled.

2. Workshop & Lab Clinic Cancellation Timeframes

If you need to cancel your registration for an in-person training program (such as the ASIC Hardware Masterclass or Micro-Soldering Clinic):

  • 14 or More Calendar Days Prior to Workshop Start: You are eligible for a full refund (100%) of all tuition fees paid, or you may transfer your enrollment to a future intake date at no additional charge.
  • Between 7 and 13 Calendar Days Prior to Workshop Start: You are eligible for a partial refund of 70% of the total course fee (the 30% deposit is retained to cover pre-ordered catering, workbook printing, and bench allocation), or you may transfer your registration to an upcoming cohort upon payment of a $100 AUD administrative rebooking fee.
  • Less than 7 Calendar Days Prior to Workshop Start: No refunds are available due to committed lab resources and the inability to fill the reserved bench on short notice. However, you may nominate a substitute attendee (such as a colleague or apprentice) to attend in your place at no extra fee.

3. Deposits & Balance Payments

A 30% deposit is required to secure your workshop bench reservation. The remaining 70% balance must be settled at least 7 business days prior to the commencement date. If the final balance is not received by this deadline, the reserved seat may be released to waiting list applicants.

4. Non-Refundable Items & Commenced Work

The following items and service stages are strictly non-refundable:

  • Unsealed Consumables Packs: Specialized thermal interface pads (Honeywell PTM7950), micro-soldering fluxes, practice BGA chips, and printed field manuals once unsealed or taken off-premises.
  • On-Site Diagnostic Inspections: Once an instructor/engineer has commenced travel or arrived at your premises for a scheduled thermal or electrical audit, fees for travel time and on-site hours are non-refundable.
  • Custom Engineering Blueprints: Bespoke shed airflow and acoustic attenuation design calculations once initial CAD layouts have been delivered.

5. Attendee No-Shows

If an enrolled attendee fails to appear on the scheduled workshop date without prior written notice ("no-show"), all tuition fees and deposits are forfeited. No refund or automatic reschedule will be granted.

6. Workshop Rescheduling or Cancellation by Neuron Layer Hub

In the rare event that Neuron Layer Hub must reschedule or cancel a workshop session due to extreme weather events (such as Victorian Code Red bushfire danger declarations), instructor illness, or unforeseen power grid outages:

  • Enrolled participants will be offered immediate priority placement in an alternative intake date of their choice; OR
  • A 100% full refund of all tuition fees paid, processed within 5 to 10 business days.

Neuron Layer Hub is not liable for non-refundable personal travel or accommodation expenses incurred with third-party providers.

7. Refund Request & Processing Procedure

To request a refund or enrollment transfer, please submit a written request to hello@neuronlayerhub.click quoting your invoice reference number and attendee name.

  • Processing Time: Approved refund requests are processed within 5 to 10 business days.
  • Refund Method: Refunds are returned strictly via the original payment method (Direct Bank EFT to your Australian nominated bank account or credit card reversal).

8. Australian Consumer Law Guarantees

Nothing in this policy limits, excludes, or modifies any consumer rights and guarantees available under the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth) and Australian Consumer Law.
