Hands-on Technical Education for Australian Mining Operators
Founded in 2019 in the rural Gippsland region of Victoria, Neuron Layer Hub bridges the gap between complex semiconductor hardware and real-world Australian electrical and thermodynamic demands.
Neuron Layer Hub Pty Ltd (Est. 2019)
Official Registered Business Name: Neuron Layer Hub Pty Ltd
Year Established: 2019
Headquarters & Training Facility: 35 Garden Road, Dawson VIC 3858, Australia
Neuron Layer Hub was established in 2019 by a small collective of Victorian mechanical technicians and licensed electrical tradespeople. Observing that local miners and rural solar owners struggled with premature hardware failure during hot Australian summers—often losing months waiting for overseas repair turnarounds—we constructed a dedicated hands-on education workshop in Dawson, Victoria. Over seven years of continuous operation, we have trained over 380 independent operators, electrical apprentices, and renewable energy technicians.
Teaching Physics, Not Financial Speculation
Unlike generic online courses or speculative trading seminars, Neuron Layer Hub teaches pure mechanical, electrical, and thermal fundamentals. An ASIC miner is fundamentally a high-density resistive heater that produces cryptographic hashes as a byproduct of silicon switching.
Managing such machines successfully in Australia requires an understanding of:
- Air mass flow rates and fluid static pressure differentials through micro-finned aluminium heatsinks.
- Continuous electrical duty cycle derating under Australian/New Zealand Wiring Rules (AS/NZS 3000).
- Signal integrity analysis on multi-layer PCBs using digital storage oscilloscopes.
- Dynamic load synchronization with variable rooftop solar PV and microgrid systems.
We believe in transparent, reproducible engineering practices that empower operators to diagnose and service their own hardware on-site.
Meet Our Workshop Instructors
Our courses are delivered directly by trades-certified and engineering professionals with extensive practical experience in Australian industrial installations.
Marcus Thorne
With 14 years of background in industrial HVAC and precision electronic enclosures, Marcus leads our teardown, thermal interface pad calibration, and acoustic plenum fabrication modules.
Callum Ross
A licensed Victorian A-Grade electrician, Callum specializes in AS/NZS 3000 continuous-load sub-board design, 3-phase neutral harmonic analysis, and direct solar inverter Modbus load matching.
Elena Vane
Elena brings deep bench experience in multi-layer PCB fault isolation, high-speed digital oscilloscope probing, and localized BGA hot-air chip replacement for Bitmain and MicroBT series boards.
Rooted in the Gippsland Community
Our workshop at 35 Garden Road, Dawson VIC serves as a central knowledge hub for regional agricultural producers and technical enthusiasts exploring renewable energy diversification.
We collaborate with local suppliers for formply acoustic timber, electrical distribution switchgear, and test fixtures, keeping technical capability alive within regional Victoria.
