Oscilloscopes & Probing
Rigol DS1054Z & Siglent 100MHz 4-channel digital storage oscilloscopes with 10X attenuation probes for CLK, RST, and serial data signal inspection.

Comprehensive 4-Phase Curriculum Structure
Phase 1: Mechanical Teardown, Thermal Pads & Static Pressure
Module 1 & 2Disassemble chassis housing, extract hashboards, and evaluate factory thermal paste degradation. Learn precision application of phase-change thermal interface materials (PTM7950), torque sequencing on heatsink spring screws, and aerodynamic sealing against fan backpressure.
Phase 2: Electrical Load Balancing & AS/NZS 3000 Standards
Module 3 & 4Calculate continuous duty cycle thermal derating for Australian 240V single-phase and 415V three-phase sub-boards. Inspect C19/C20 power cord terminations, measure third-harmonic neutral currents, and review RCD selection (Type A vs Type B) for switchmode power supplies.
Phase 3: Serial Chain Signal Tracing & Chip Isolation
Module 5 & 6Interpret kernel diagnostic boot logs and trace five fundamental signals (CLK, RST, RI, RO, TX) across multi-chip domains using digital storage oscilloscopes. Isolate broken LDO voltage regulators and identify cold solder joints.
Phase 4: High-Ambient Cooling, Acoustic Plenums & Solar Throttling
Module 7 & 8Construct dual-turn S-curve acoustic intake plenums using marine ply and convoluted foam. Configure Modbus TCP communication scripts to dynamically throttle miner hashrate in lockstep with rooftop solar PV generation.

All bench surfaces are dissipative grounded rubber mats with continuous-monitoring wrist strap grounding points.
Fume Extraction
Hakko multi-stage HEPA and activated carbon solder fume extractors at every micro-soldering workstation.
Electrical Isolation
Individual 30mA residual current devices (RCDs) and emergency stop isolator switches located at each training row.
